Nonhlanhla Seoe

Nonhlanhla Seoe is a tourism professional with experience in strategic marketing, tourism and events that spans over 15 years, of which 12 are in management. She has proven success in multicultural environments in public and private companies in the tourism and events industry, she excels in on-time, on-budget event execution and a results-driven approach in strategic planning, project management, and budget oversight. Her current role is in destination and tourism promotion from a business events perspective in the Capital City of Tshwane, some of her responsibilities include the development and implementation of the business tourism strategy, lead generation, bidding, financial management (as per MFMA) and delivering on the goals of the SDBIP for the division as outlined by the city’s IDPs. She currently serves as UNISA Tourism Advisory Board Member at the College of Applied Management and has served on boards such as SITE and SAACI Tshwane branch. She holds a Master of Commerce and is currently a PhD candidate, focusing on alternative funding for Tourism SMMEs.

 

The World Conference of Science Journalists (WCSJ) will take place at the CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria, South Africa from 1 – 5 December 2025, with the theme “Science Journalism and Social Justice – our role in promoting resilience”.
